Zimbabwe Television and Mozambican Television will on October 1 this year jointly hold a solidarity gala in Chimoio, Mozambique, to celebrate the friendship and close ties between the peoples of the two countries.
Zimbabwe Television (Pvt) Ltd chief executive officer Ms Susan Makore said the gala would be broadcast live in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
It will see artists and musicians from the two countries performing and sharing ideas.
"We share a lot in common with the Mozambicans and this is a social entertainment event that will also promote each other's arts and culture," said Ms Makore.
She said the idea to hold the gala came in May this year when Government, through the Department of Information and Publicity in the Office of the President and Cabinet, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mozambicans.
"One of the agreements was to enhance co-operation between Zimbabwe Broadcasting Holdings and its subsidiaries with Mozambican Television," said Ms Makore.
