This amount, granted by the Italian Foreign Ministry to that NGO, is also earmarked for technical training inside the country and abroad, and establishment of Social Concertation Centres in the different provinces, as part of the expansion of the CCT, a tripartite negotiating body that includes the government, Employers, and trade unions.
An understanding in that line was reached on Wednesday between the Labour Minister Helena Taipo and ISCOS representative in Mozambique, Igor Felice.
The project, that is to allow CCT count on the international partnership for social dialogue in Mozambique, will have a three year duration.
Taipo said that the issues to be discussed by the CCT (in the Maputo headquarters) should start in the provinces, so that the results may reflect the country's socio-economic reality.
Since 1984, ISCOS has been represented in Maputo and Inhambane, in the south, Nampula, in the north, and Quelimane, in the central region, and the plan includes its expansion across the country.
In the context of divulging the Labour Law, ISCOS and CCT are planning to organize workshops, starting this coming September.
